Taqueria Charrito Loko
About This Spot
Stepping into Taqueria Charrito Loko feels like entering a neighborhood spot where the rhythm of everyday life hums quietly under the vibrant pulse of authentic Mexican flavors. The space carries a straightforward charm—unpretentious, bustling, and warmly familiar—where locals gather not just for a meal but for a moment of connection over food crafted with care.
The pace here is lively yet unhurried, a perfect reflection of its roots in street-style taco culture turned corner eatery. You’ll find the open kitchen inviting and honest, a window into the layered process behind each dish. The scents are familiar but never tired—freshly grilled meats, smoky spices, and that gentle whisper of cinnamon in house-made horchata that hints at stories shared with each bite.
Rather than a sprawling menu, what stands out is a curated simplicity. The focus feels rooted in tradition, where flavors from pastor and cabeza tacos to more soulful offerings like sopes and menudo invite you to savor Mexico beyond clichés. There’s an approachable spiciness and fresh texture in every creation, complemented by sauces that carry just enough heat without overpowering. It’s the kind of place where even the elote and montaditos speak of conviviality and Mexican street food culture, turning quick bites into moments worth lingering over.
Behind the counters, you’ll meet friendly, familiar faces threading hospitality through their rhythm of service, making it easy to feel like part of something local and sincere. Folks return not only for the food but for the small exchanges, the ease of parking, and the unpolished warmth that feels like a well-kept neighborhood secret with roots deeper than most taco joints.

Was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint! Tried their chilaquiles and they were so delicious. Definitely on the spicier side if you’re up for it, but worth it. Would definitely love to come again and try their different dishes.

Really good quality Mexican food. Not Tex Mex!! Mex…I had the Sopes and soft tacos and they were really good.i also had the horchata. Really good flavor. You could feel the cinnamon. They used to have a food truck and turned it into a restaurant. Still has the food truck flavors though. Excelenté!! This is definitely one of our new huecitos. Friendly staff too. Easy parking but it gets busy in the weekends.

Authentic Mexican food at its finest!! The employees are always so nice, and the food is fresh and delicious. And with their open kitchen you can see how clean they keep this place. I try and visit once a week it’s so good.

Simple menu with good options. The table comes with two house made sauces. The green one seems like an avocado and not spicy. The red is spicy and tasty. I had the huaranches chicken. Filling and really good. I will definitely return. They accept cash and credit (with a slight fee). Good spot!

The food service is spectacular, the place is very nice, they knew how to fix it very well, the prices are affordable and the portions moderate, I recommend it because it is very clean and the waitresses are very friendly and pleasant.

Recently came here with friends and ordered some aguas frescas which were amazing and most importantly not too sweet. We had the horchata and Jamaica. The tacos are well portioned and they don't fall apart. Had the asada and al pastor both very flavorful and filling. Definitely recommend for authentic Mexican street food. Jennifer was friendly and offered great service!
